Those who join the 1899 Club will receive handcrafted, limited-production wines that arrive at your door in a vintage fire-branded wooden crate that is handmade exclusively for Appalachian State University.

Founders Pavilion - 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley

Much like a Cabernet Sauvignon, the Founder’s Pavilion of Appalachian State University evokes a balanced sense of tradition and home. Its nod to our university’s history and picturesque location nestled in the heart of our campus keeps the black and gold faithful coming back year after year. These feelings of familiarity and harmony radiate throughout our campus and into the spirit of every Mountaineer.

This flagship Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic representation of the appellation’s preeminent varietal. Notes of black cherry, blackberry and plum are complemented by hits of toasted oak, dried currant and baking spice. Fine-grained tannins and ample brightness on the palate give way to a polished mouthfeel and exceptionally long finish.
